So today is Wednesday September 23th. It is a perfect day for starting our first class blog! The purpose for writing blogs is to share your thoughts online. You can share pictures too, just like Facebook. Many people blog every day. They become good writers. Can you guess why?

One thing to remember, though. Blogging is "putting your writing out there" so you have to be careful with what you say, especially as children. Do not publish your address or telephone number. An email is probably OK, but you might get more emails than you want. Remember, once your blog is online, pretty much anyone with a computer can read what your write.

Remember to always be respectful of other people in your blog. There is something called cyber-bullying. Cyber-bullying is being mean to others online. You should never blog bad about somebody. It will come back to you and you will asked to be responsible and accountable to what you have done.
