2021 - A New Year

So during winter break, I really didn’t do much but read and sleep. I read a manga called The Promised Neverland, one of my favourite anime of all time! I don’t really like reading paper books, but I make an exception for Manga. I prefer to read ebooks because you can just add more. And you cannot really lose the book unless you lose your phone. In today’s society, people would be way more responsible over their phone than over a book.

On New Year’s I watched the fireworks from the steps in front of my house by myself. My brother said it was too much work to get dressed and go outside just to watch fireworks, so he just watched them from his window. They did little teaser fireworks around 10:00 but at 12 THEY WENT BALLISTIC! THEY STARTED BANGING POTS, PLAYING TRUMPETS AND BLOWING HORNS! After I went inside, I got a million texts saying “Jumanji✅.” It was this thing people were doing on New Year’s. People were saying 2020 was a game of Jumanji and that’s how we were gonna get out of it. After that I lay back down and fell asleep watching anime.

For my New Year’s resolution, I would just like to be more responsible with my classwork and my chores at home. Sometimes I wouldn’t do them right, but to motivate my brother and I, my Mom is giving us each $25 every 2 weeks. If this was a real job, I probably wouldn’t work there cause that’s only $50 a month. But for a 12 year old unemployed minor, I’m not complaining. Plus, we can only spend half of the $25 we get every 2 weeks so that’s only $12.50 to spend. But like I said I’m not complaining; it was just an observation. My winter break wasn’t super special, but I was just glad to get a break.
