All Lives Matter

Life does not count on you,

you count on yourself.                                                                                                                  no matter how sad you are,                                                                                                          people are there for you,

the world might shame you,

but don’t shame yourself,                                                                                                              family loves, not give, don’t give up

live another day, your skin, your hair,

everything about you is amazing,

all lives matter, black and white

but don’t be ashamed

we are the same people ,

with different names,

we are the same color,

but with different shades,

love yourself and be ok,

try and stay on your feet,

do what you want,

don’t be shamed,

go to stores,

and get what you need,

don’t hate your race, because other people hate,

love yourself and never hate the enemy,

negros and whites always been to war,

this year never go to war with people you hate,

your beautiful no matter what

don’t listen to people

try and love

gun violence and deaths,

this world is crazy,

stop gun violence

stop deaths

stop race shame

this world is full of crazy things

stay calm and steady,

stay nice and and ready,

stay good.

Don’t hate, love

don't fight

Tall, short, thin, and fat,

we are the same things

hair flowing,

us growing,

people feels free,

give us what we need,

viruses killing,

we need more healing,

things dying,

more people lying,

people framing,

everybody shaming ,

People stealing,

then they killing,

animals dying

,people crying,

things are  dirty,

people hurting,

why why why i ask…

they say we die die die,

why are we killing?

how about you?

do the opposite

start healing

i speak my mind,

and i get more dimes,

i laugh then  i cry,

i’m mad then i'm sad,

but with everybody

i don't laugh

i dont cry

i’m not mad then i'm not sad

i’m crying happy tears

that means love.

Poem

                                                           Fire in my Heart

                                                    While I'm standing with fear.

                                                     Rolling down was my tears.

As I see years go by.

                                                     Without you by my side.

                                                           It was like fire.

                                                     It's not what you desire.

                                                      As you leave me here.

I will watch you up there.

But as long as you're by my side.

                                               I already know you're classified.

Really upset that you had to die.

But I really try not to cry.

Poem

Brown Skin Girl

Brown skin girl
our skin is like pearls
those beautiful nappy curls
Most people don't know
the best thing in the world
natural and Negro beauty.

Most people hate us,
but you know,
we chose to live our black lives
even if it brings us down.

We build up high
We touch the sky.
So what if we’re different?
So what if we’re not rich,
So what if I’m black?

Some people think
it makes us feel better
if they say stuff like
“I don’t see your blackness, I see you for you”
but, if you don’t see my blackness,
you don’t see me.

I AM NEGRO. I AM BLACK. I AM ME.

Poem

                                Dance

When I dance I feel happy and proud
When I dance I never feel down
It's something about the sound
that makes me,
spin around
When I spin around
the air goes with me
I love dance and dance,
loves me.

 Painted faces.

They’re all I see.

They’re always haunting me.

Faces that I once had to teach.

Faces that I could reach.

I see the flames rising up

I hear their cries.

Yet no goodbyes.

Oh how I wish I could hug them tight!

               Vivid Cries

  • There once was a girl, going in a whirl, running into a crowd, not knowing how.

  •   Each step growing, her dress flowing.

  •   .

  • Green vines, daisies, and flowers.

  •  .

  •  Each having their own powers.

  • .

  •  Spiraling out of control.

  •  .

  • Riveting all their souls.

  • .

  • Sight growing blurry.

  • .

  • Everything going in a flurry.

  • .

  • Snow on the ground.

  • .

  • Police going down, shooting, hear the sound.

  • .

  • Ears going bloody, floor getting muddy.

This is the story of a vivid  NOBUDDY.

Short Story

   Breaking the Fourth Wall

                                          By: PJ

As I woke up in the morning I noticed the eerie feeling of          forgetting something, something important……

Lost in thought, I noticed the sunlight suddenly turning dark, and my timer suddenly went from 7:30 am to 11:59. As I lay back down and blank, I saw sunlight. It didn't feel as though I had slept, but I brushed it off and rushed to school.

I ran up through the gate and spied Ritz. I rushed up to him but he had disappeared. Having no choice, I went to class. While I had thought about it, lost in thought, my teacher looked at me as she started to melt and asked me in a distorted voice, “Princeton, come up to the class and answer the math problem,” one-by-one each limb had started to melt off.

Everything went dark and I started to go crazy after a couple of minutes. It felt like forever, as I started to give up after trying to run around (IN THE DARK) banging my head against the air. I saw sparks of light as I rushed to it. I flew and hit the ground, seeing someone like a guardian angel. I ran up to her, touched the light and ended up back in class. But this time everyone's eyes went black as they started to chase me out of the classroom.

Turning my head, every one of the friends that I struggled to make were chasing me, waving long metal daggers over their wild, blackened eyes. I started to give up and became numb from my arms to my fingertips, and from the fingertips down to the legs. I felt my feet grow numb and saw every one of them get closer and closer, I started to feel wet drops on my cheeks. Hot then cold. Hot then cold, with each drip bigger than the other bigger, black blobs coming closer to me, each step slower than the last, as if time had stopped.

Unfortunately someone caught up to me as I looked up, my body glued to the floor, The blob became clearer and clearer by the second. As I soon saw who was in front of me with the knife, my body shivered and turned cold. I couldn't believe it. It was my childhood friend “.....Rev”. I somehow was able to make out that one word, the one I had known since 1st grade, the word he muttered word, that even the others found shocking. Once he stabbed me and I started to drift away in a puddle of blood. All I could think was why. One by one  all the dark particles in the air turned white and red as my memories flashed before my eyes feeling betrayed, confused and heartbroken. With those words he let out of his mouth “ I was jealous of you ever since I met you and this is just my way of telling you.” As I had given up. I just let myself drift away in the dark. All that was left were remains of dust, dirt, grime, blood, and my tears full of betrayal.
